Castello d’Albola Chianti Classico DOCG 2011 ranked #46 in the «Top 100 of 2015» by Wine Spectator

We are very proud to announce that Castello d’Albola Chianti Classico DOCG 2011 ranked #46 in the «Top 100 of 2015» by Wine Spectator, the most important international wine magazine.
Each year, Wine Spectator editors survey more than 5700 wines reviewed over the previous 12 months and select their Top 100 – based on quality (score), value (price), availability (number of cases either made or imported into the United States) and excitement- that rated 90 points or higher on Wine Spectator’s 100-points scale.
«Firm and taut, with a core of cherry and berry flavors, accented by underbrush, tobacco and iron notes. Balanced in a lean way, with a lingering aftertaste of earth and mineral. Best from 2016 through 2025»: this is the Bruce Sanderson’s description of the only Chianti Classico in the list (our Chianti Classico is the 9th Italian wine of the list).
Here is the complete ranking that honors best and successful wineries, regions and vintages around the world: http://2015.top100.winespectator.com/lists/
Many congratulations to Alessandro Gallo and his team!
